Osteopaths
Michael qualified in “the dark ages” of 1974 when osteopathy
was less readily accepted by the medical profession. He has worked in private
practice in Worthing since 1975 and was contracted to the NHS for five
years, working with a group of GP’s in Rustington. He was also one of the
founding members of the Littlehampton Natural Health Centre – a large
multi-disciplinary practice staffed by therapists of every discipline.
The NHS contract work is currently not available and Michael left the Littlehampton
practice some years ago so he is, at the moment, working solely from this
practice and is retained by several local companies to provide care for
their staff.
Married, but with a plethora of animals rather than children, a lot of his spare time is spent in the garden or on the golf course. A lifetime spent playing badminton and golf has led to an interest in sports injuries but he derives most pleasure from treating long-standing problems and maintaining the health of those who are “just the wrong side of their prime”. Having worked with both orthodox medical practitioners and all types of complementary therapists Michael is a keen advocate of an integrated approach to health care and is happy to consult and co-operate with other practitioners that you may be seeing.
