Nutritional advice is available from many sources here at the practice. Most of the practitioners here have some training and interest in nutrition but this is a specialisation for one of our practitioners:
Helen Mayors – who uses Applied Kinesiology as a diagnostic medium.
More details follow regarding this practitioner's views on the diagnosis and treatment of nutritional problems.

NUTRITION - navigating the maze of "mis-information"
Food, whether in relation to it's production/farming, culture and lifestyle or Health and Nutrition is seldom
out of the news these days. At the same time ironically, so much ill health in the UK is directly attributable
to poor diet - diabetes and heart disease to name but two.
It seems we are bombarded with information, some of which seems conflicting and much of comes via commercial
vested interests, perhaps diet fads or headlines to sell a story, all of which results in great confusion.
Many of us do not make the connection between the symptoms we experience and our chosen diets. Getting it right for you as an individual can make dramatic improvements to your wellbeing and significantly improve your long term health.
We can help you to:
Understand the basics about nutrition, particularly in relation to different food groups
Work out the right diet for you and your lifestyle
Pin point foods which may be causing unwelcome effects
Identify nutritional deficiencies
Correcting your diet may help to control inflammation to protect joints and membranes, recover from injury, loose or gain weight
and bring Candida infections under control
Helen Utilises a careful case history, diet diaries, and a variety of laboratory testing (blood and urine tests) along with manual muscle testing to assist in formulating dietary advice as well as lifestyle and exercise advice.
Costs:
Initial Assessment (30 minutes) £41
Functional testing and advice (up to 60 minutes) £60
Laboratory tests priced individually
