Osteopaths
Susan graduated in 1998 from the British School of Osteopathy in London.
She joined us here at the Broadwater practice in 2000, having worked previously
in a group practice in Hove. She also worked until recently at the Adur Osteopathic Clinic
in Shoreham-by-Sea but is now only available at this practice.
As well as working as an osteopath, Susan is also qualified in Dry Needling (a form of acupuncture), Indian Head and Remedial Massage and may offer these treatments where it is appropriate. She uses gentle manipulation, articulation of the joints and soft tissue release techniques to optimise musculoskeletal function.
Susan is keen on working with patients, to educate and inform them on the best ways to maintain good health and prevent painful problems developing, through exercise and lifestyle changes. As part of her degree, she completed her two year dissertation on the effects of stress and anxiety in musculoskeletal pain and has a keen interest in this field.
Because of her interest in massage, Susan is happy to give treatments of purely remedial massage if patients are unable to attend the practice when the regular massage therapists are available.
